MeginBowlen in Præstø 29. – 31. August 2025
Report
From Rostock, from Fårevejle, from Randers, from Telemark in Norway, cars headed towards Præstø South Zealand for this year's big meeting for Meginjoller. It was a weekend with brilliant weather for the entire event, summer warm with a friendly wind during the day and incredibly beautiful quiet evenings.
Some sailors arrived a couple of days before and most arrived during the Friday, some pitched tents, others found accommodation in town. During the evening, food brought in was grilled.
Præstø's energetic dinghy sailors had worked hard leading up to the event to install a new kitchen in Dambæk's house, so that it functioned perfectly as a MeginBowle base.
On Saturday at 9 am, there was a skipper's meeting for the 21 dinghies. It was decided to hold 3 or 4 short-course sailings out in the Præstøfjord itself. The wind

was weak and changeable, so it was announced that the marks could be moved between the races. And it was also necessary after the 2nd race, which meant a bit of a wait on the water before the 3rd and final race on Saturday.
Everyone was ashore by 4 o'clock, so there was time for coffee and a rest before eating in the clubhouse.
We had tasty food from "Meny" with salad in such large quantities that everyone was gaping. Unfortunately, we couldn't eat our way through the abundance.
At 8 o'clock we held a general meeting and primarily discussed options for places to hold next year's MeginBowle. See the minutes from the General Meeting here at page 10.
Afterwards, the sailors enjoyed themselves before they turned in and the hedgehogs turned out to eat apples and practice around the tents.
On Sunday we held a long- distance sailing from the harbour into the fjord and then a turn towards the Baltic Sea, a two-hour sailing over sunny waters.
There was a prize giving ceremony at 1 pm. The mid- way trophy this year went to Mogens Exner and Ole Kjeldgaard, Randers. 3rd place went to Peter, Sarah and Jørgen Dinse, Rostock. 2nd place to Jens and Henning R. Ibsen, Præstø and 1st place and the Megin Bowl went to Hans. P. and Knud E. Novrup, Kruså.
Johannes and Lars from Præstø broke the age record and therefore won a handful of pier boats.

The event was led with a competent and sure hand by the two judges, Jens Jespersen og Henrik Schmidt and 2 active support boats. Præstø dinghy club has in the past counted 11 Megin dinghies. All of us out-of-town sailors enjoyed the good surroundings and the pleasant maritime environment. A great many spectators followed the event and learned about the ingenious, useful little Megin dinghies.

Referat fra Generalforsamling i Præstø d. 30.8.2025, kl. 20 i MeginClub.dk Afholdt lørdag aften ved MeginBowlestævnet, 25 deltagere.
Dagsorden
1. Valg af dirigent: Mogens Exner. 2. Valg af referent: Paul Arnbak 3. Bestyrelsens beretning MeginBowlen blev afviklet i august i Humlum med 20 joller. Der har i øvrigt ikke, været afholdt lokale fællessejladser i det forløbne år. Men der er god aktivitet med sejladser og renoveringer, når man følger MEGINclub - Danmark på Facebook.
Hjemmesidens meginregister og mailliste ajourføres til indbydelser. Der er mange registreringer, når joller sælges og købes. Mange meginsejlere holder af natur og tursejlads, mange holder af trim og kapsejlads, til de grønne spejderes landsstævne deltager over 60 meginjoller i sejlads aktiviteter for børn og unge. Vi gør os tanker om, hvordan klubben kan leve godt videre i fremtiden. Hvordan og hvor forener vi det store potentiale, der er i de ca. 550 Meginjoller. Er det Facebook gruppen? Hjemmesiden? MeginBowlestævnet? Tursejladser? Familiestævner med børn?
Tak til bestyrelsen for god opbakning. . 4. Aflæggelse af regnskab. Regnskabet i perioden siden sidste generalforsamling er identisk med kontoudtog fra Fynske bank, kt. 08153531149229. Foreningen har ikke haft andre udgifter i det forløbne år end gebyr til banken. 11 medlemmer har betalt frivilligt kontingent. Periodens overskud er 843,97

5. Fastsættelse af størrelsen af frivilligt kontingent. Frivilligt kontingent fortsætter med kr. 100.- årligt 6. Fastsættelse af sted for næste års MeginBowle. Næste års MeginBowle afholde i weekenden 28. til 30. august 2026 Følgende steder til afholdelse undersøges: • Holbæk området i samarbejde med spejdere – (Nis Rømer) • Nordtyskland – (Hendrik Horn) • Strynø, v. Helnæs eller Silkeborgsøerne – (Viktor Reddersen) Forudsætning for stævne er dommer, følgebåd, overnatningsmulghed. arrangør vælger ”fuldforplejning” eller ”selvforplejning” + fælles lørdagsmiddag. Evt. suppleres med regatta eller tursejlads ved MeginBowlen for deltagere uden lyst til kapsejlads 7. Behandling af indkomne forslag.

2. Election of rapporteur: Paul Arnbak 3. Report of the board The MeginBowl was held in August in Humlum with 20 dinghies. Incidentally, no local joint sailings have been held in the past year. But there is good activity with sailings and renovations when you follow MEGINclub - Denmark on Facebook.
The website's megin register and mailing list are updated with invitations. There are many registrations when dinghies are sold and bought. Many Megin sailors love nature and touring, many love trim and racing, at the Green Scouts national meeting over 60 Megin dinghies participate in sailing activities for children and young people. We are thinking about how the club can continue to thrive in the future. How and where do we unite the great potential that is in the approximately 550 Megin dinghies. Is it the Facebook group? The website? The Megin Bowling competition? Touring? Family competitions with children?
Thank you to the board for your good support. . 4. Presentation of accounts. The accounts for the period since the last general meeting are identical to the bank statement from Fynske bank, account number 08153531149229. The association has had no other expenses in the past year than fees to the bank. 11 members have paid voluntary membership fees. The profit for the period is 843.97 5. Determination of the amount of voluntary membership fees. Voluntary quota continues with DKK 100.- annually 6. Determining the location for next year's MeginBowle. Next year's MeginBowle to be held on the weekend of August 28 to 30, 2026 The following locations are being investigated: • Holbæk area in collaboration with scouts – (Nis Rømer) • Northern Germany – (Hendrik Horn)

Organizer chooses "full board" or "self-catering" + shared Saturday dinner. Possibly supplemented with a regatta or sailing trip at MeginBowle for participants without a desire to race 7. Processing of received proposals. No proposals received 8. Election of the board. Hendrik Horn, Ole Kjeldgaard, Henrik Gurskov, Henning Ringe Ibsen and Paul Arnbak were re-elected. Viktor Reddersen and Nis Rømer were elected as alternates 9. Possibly. The Facebook group: MeginClub – Denmark is being “advertised”, where there is a good debate about everything related to Megin dinghies, competitions and experiences.
